Unfasten the Velcro fasteners and lay out the orthesis. Insert the hand into the orthesis as if it were a glove, putting the thumb through the specific opening. Ensure the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm. Tighten and block the two adjustable straps for the fastening with laces. Tighten and block the side tab of the hand with Velcro fastener. Further adjustment may be required if there are changes in the swelling of the hand and wrist.
Remove the splints. Hand wash in water at 30° C with neutral soap or detergent, rinse thoroughly, do not wring, dry flat. Do not iron.
