Traumas in which absolute immobilisation is required
Relative immobilisation of the wrist and thumb guaranteed by: rigid, anatomically shaped palmar splint and rigid radial splint (both removable), straps for adjustment on the forearm and thumb
Lightness and ergonomics ensure comfort
Easy to position.
100% cotton fabric
100% polyurethane padding
100% aluminium splints, 100% steel
Unfasten the straps with Velcro fastener. Insert the hand into the orthesis as if it were a glove, placing the thumb in the specific area. Tighten the straps on the forearm slightly. The palmar splint must be aligned with the forearm. Ensure the adjustable strap closest to the elbow is threaded through both loops, to ensure better compression action. Fix the strap. Block all Velcro fasteners so that the orthesis is comfortable when worn. Further adjustment may be required, depending on changes in the swelling of the hand, wrist and thumb. The straps can be cut to the desired length.
Remove the splints. Hand wash in water at 30° C with neutral soap or detergent. Rinse well. Dry flat away from sources of heat. Do not iron.
