Fitting the product

The GENUGIB® 40 knee brace is available in one size. However, a preliminary test is needed for the correct adjustment and to fully understand orthesis positioning. The joints must be adjusted before positioning the brace. To adjust again, unscrew the transparent cover with a coin (1, 2 or 5 eurocents) and position the four pins in the holes by the corners chosen according to the indications supplied by the prescribing physician. Put the orthesis on with the Dr. GIBAUD® logo upright. Leave the straps in the buckles, loosening them to make positioning the brace easier. The orthesis can be worn directly on the skin or over trousers.

  1. If necessary, adjust the upper and lower flanges with the specific Velcro fastener until the joints are parallel and centred on the knee.
  2. The two side pads are removable and can be taken off if they bother.
  3. After removing them, adjust the upper and lower straps first, then the middle ones. The middle strap has a silicone stabilising element that must be positioned on the tibial crest.
  4. Complete the adjustment of the straps until strong, comfortable support is achieved. The joints must be parallel and centred on the knee.

Washing instructions

Remove the side struts. Hand wash in water at 30° C with neutral soap or detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Do not wring. Dry flat. Do not iron.
